Arrow Guide : How and why ask for a refund (Steam)

    Why this guide?

I wrote this guide for all the users upset as I am with Atari lack of communication.

    Why asking a refund?

    • That wont hurt you, because if the game is released a day, and its not as poor at it seems you will be able to purchase it again.
    • A lot of sign that something getting wrong with the game (multiple postpone, lack of communication, bad screenshots, RTCW supporting Planet Coaster on FB, ...)
    • Related to the facts mentioned, PC will maybe get released first/better.
    • This will put pressure on Atari and maybe the will improve at least their communication.

    How to

    1. Open steam
    2. Help tab
    3. Steam support
    4. A purchase
    5. Select RTC World
    6. "It's not what I expected"
    7. I'd Like to request a refund
    8. Choose your refund method
    9. Refund reason : My issue isn't listed
    10. Notes example : "Game postponed, lack of communication from the editor"
    11. Submit request

I personally get refunded after few hours.

The only problem is that not everyone used Steam. A thread like this is good though. No matter where you bought it from, if you want a refund, you SHOULD be able to get one. They cannot force you to keep a game that's been delayed for months.

If you bought it from Atari, you CAN get your money back if you want to. I've seen a lot of people saying "there's nothing I can do, I'm stuck" which is just bad. Don't let Atari steal your money.

You left out the part where you create a second account on the forums to post crap like this.

Really? This is not "crap", it's a useful guide for anyone who is frustrated with a product they paid for, and may want a refund. That's well within a customer's rights. Your post isn't helping anything/anyone.

I don't see this as crap at all, this is incredibly useful for all the people who made the mistake of pre-ordering.
not only that, but the moderators themselves should have made this post
