What Modeltype is needed for CS?

    hi there,

I'm a great Fan if the RCT Series and also skilled with Cinema4D and Unity.
Now that Atari said, that we will be able to create some own Stuff for the workshop, i'm really interested in that Feature.

    So, just some Questions :
1.) Any idea of the Filetype for Models? C4D, 3ds, fbx, obj?
2.) What's the maximum Atlas Size?
2.2) I think we are again good to go with as less tris as possible?
3.) Support for Normalmapping and Specmap, too?
    4.) Support for animated Models?
5.) When adding own Scenery - is there a Plan for adding Lights to specific positions on the Scenery, that'll be used in RCTW? (like glowing eyes or Light behind Windows)
6.) What will be a meter in unity world units? unity 1,1,1 == c4d 1m,1m,1m at my settings)

    and last but not least:
7.)Support for custom Carts and Trackpieces?

That would be a hell of an info to start creating stuff

This is need not to be.
Unity compiled games can´t import new Models at runttime. You need to write a Model importer for that. So the Filetype is programmed into the importer.

Sure, rctwultrafun, try to forget about unity 5 capabilities, because, what will be possible in the game is only what the dev team planned to be and not everything unity 5 supports.
Every question of chaosgod makes sense, since we have to know the limits of the game to adapt our creations...
I'm very excited about UGC, but we stay kind a stuck in these questions...
The could reveal the polycount limit at least. =)

I think Mattlab said that information for CS developers will be delivered before the launch, so just wait and keep your eyes open for official posts on the topic.

Additional a good info would be, what content is createable...
    like:
    Own Cart Designs
    Own Trackpiece Design
    Own Special Trackparts
    Own Stations
    Own Pathtypes
    What types of Own Scenery
    Custom Park Entrance?
    ...and so on
