Very good idea! I'd probably buy it as an expansion if it was decently priced. Could name it something like "RCTW: Operator" or "RCTW: Up close."
Of course, a free update would be much better, but if worst comes to the worst, expansion.
I'd feel comfortable paying for new features that weren't available in vanilla RCT inside of an expansion pack (like this one). But, not so much with features like underground.

this idea might not appeal to all, but i think it would be cool if you could take on the role of ride operator /dispatcher, standing in the control booth with panel in-front of you to dispatch trains/cars, set off certain effects if applicable e.g. smoke machine on flat rides, strobe lights and so on.
Yes that would be cool. I think this has been discussed in other forum posts.
I love this idea.
I am going to keep this active so the Developers and Mattlab know that we REALLY want this! I have said this before and I'm going to say it again. A whole extra level of fun and realism is h=this.
Awesome, but how much use would you get out of this? I see myself getting very bored after a while. Maybe, if you launch trains too quickly it could cause mayhem on the tracks. Or, if you adjust the launch speed on a LIM coaster, you shoot it up into space!

RCT3 had some control, but this way might be better... and cooler!
The only control I had was how to kill the peeps.......
