    System Requirements

    Sorry if this has been brought up in a previous thread, just checked the Steam page for RCTW and found some system requirements - whether or not these have changed since the developer/graphics changes, I'm not sure.

    MINIMUM:
    OS: WIndows 7
    Processor: 2.3Ghz Core i5
    Memory: 4 GB RAM
    Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 4000
    DirectX: Version 11
    Hard Drive: 10 GB available space
    Additional Notes: Network connection is required for Steam authentication and multi-player

    RECOMMENDED:
    OS: Windows 7 (or above)
    Processor: 2.00 Ghz Core i7 (or above)
    Memory: 8 GB RAM
    Graphics: Dedicated video card with 1 GB of RAM (or above)
    DirectX: Version 11
    Network: Broadband Internet connection
    Hard Drive: 10 GB available space
    Additional Notes: Network connection is required for Steam authentication and multi-player

    Here is Cities Skylines System requirements:-

    Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo, 3.0GHz or AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+, 3.2GHz
    Memory: 4 GB RAM
    Graphics: nVIDIA GeForce GTX 260, 512 MB or ATI Radeon HD 5670, 512 MB (Does not support Intel Integrated Graphics Cards)
    DirectX: Version 9.0c
    Network: Broadband Internet connection
    Hard Drive: 4 GB available space

    RECOMMENDED:
    OS: Microsoft Windows 7/8 (64-bit)
    Processor: Intel Core i5-3470, 3.20GHz or AMD FX-6300, 3.5Ghz
    Memory: 6 GB RAM
    Graphics: nVIDIA GeForce GTX 660, 2 GB or AMD Radeon HD 7870, 2 GB (Does not support Intel Integrated Graphics Cards)
    DirectX: Version 11
    Network: Broadband Internet connection
    Hard Drive: 4 GB available space

    As the game also uses Unity 5 so requirements of Roller Coaster Tycoon World would be expected to be similar.

    why? They don't have the exact same models and the calculations and code culd be more complex in RCTW and then in skylines. It's not all about the engine!

    had that in an other thread but unity 5 runs on mac so rctw will prob work on mac too

    Couple points to remember. Even though we're talking about Unity, that does not instantly mean certain things:

    - System requirements: This is dependent upon numerous factors in the game being built, such as level of detail, models, animations, physics and in-game logic.

    - Mac version: This is not necessarily the case. When writing something in Unity you still set your target platform. It's very common when targeting multiple platforms to also have to manage separate code base for each platform, as there are always some difference to compensate for. Basically Unity makes it much easier for multiple platforms, but not an instant.

    Linux version? If there is a mac port, it should not be too much harder to port it to Linux...
    but I know that Linux is not a priority
