    Fantasy Flatrides

As we can read in the last devblog there will be more real life flatrides then we saw in the trailer. But Mattlab also says the unreal rides will stay true to the first RCT games. That makes me wonder... Were there any Fantasy rides in the first 3 RCT's? I'm pretty sure most of them exist in real life, only the themes (Like the Lasso and Dynamite Swing) aren't found in real life. Maybe I'm mistaking or I just forgot about them.

I personally don't think it's necessary to put in fantasy rides. I always liked the rides from the first RCT's and there are enough crazy real rides build in the last decade to put in RCTW.

I could find a lot more but I think my point is clear. RCT has no need for fantasy rides as long as there are plenty of awesome real rides to be found that weren't in the first 3 games. Hopefully Atari will do a little research on this before going all crazy with unrealistic rides.

RCTW has need of EVERYTHING! I want it all.

Also, what exactly do you mean by "fantasy" rides? Fictional themes in general? Each game has had rides based off a theme.

No, I don't mean fictional themes on rides. Like I said, those were in RCT3 (Lasso and Dynamite Swing). I mean rides like the floating rings at 39 seconds in the trailer or that strange spaceship which is probably suppose to be a simulator.

I don't mind the themed rides when there's a generic one as well. The ride with the birds in the trailer doesn't bother me at all for example.

This is another ride I would like to see in the game as well instead of a fictional ride.

So by fantasy rides you're talking about rides in general that don't exist in real life?

I think he means rides that don't follow the rules of physics as we understand them like real rides do. Theming existing ride concepts to match a theme (the screamin' swing for example, as much as I hate it, is right in line with the RCT vibe)? Okay. Making things floating and defy the laws of physics to fit the theme (floating asteroids and levitating rides)? Not okay...

Real existing rides should have the priority. The theme should be a choice. I wouldn't mind if some rides had some impossible stuff, like floating gravity defying cars but that's not why I would buy this game. When I see those rides I feel it's gonna be more like Themepark World and not RCT.

I agree in that I strongly prefer real-world flatrides over very heavily themed or re-imagined, or fantasy/fictional rides.

Not having real-world flatrides is a deal-breaker for me. I do like the suggestion of having a themed version of a flatride only if there is a generic real-world version.
