Hey guys!

Since this is a new forum, I thought it'd be cool to share our current parks in RCT3! We can rate and suggest new things for eachother's parks. I am currently trying to create a park with little to no custom scenery. Here are some pictures! -

12345

It's about 40 - 50% done, what do you think of it so far, and do you think I need to add or remove anything? Share yours as well!

Looks nice!

This is my current park. I just made this video, I thought through pictures can't tell how it really is and also it's nice to show some rides as POV.

Black Diamond Resort has closed its doors for the rest of the year, and will be planning a major re-open in the Summer of 2015. The park lost of a lot of its attendance this year as the two new coasters, Dasmascus and the Legend of Sleepy Hollow did not open as originally planned. We are told it was due to funding because the original owners of the park, the Elite Group, were in a legal dispute with former company R&L Fields Industry, in which they were buying back the park formerly known as World Fair Amusement Park. This is a shocking move for them.

I'm better known for my holiday projects, and since Winter is coming, Christmas Madness 2014 has been making its way on the forums.

There are several others out there as well in the CS Depot you can access and download.

Do you think you'll be making Black Diamond Resort in RCTW? It looks amazing!

jeriky
12-13-2014, 03:54 PM
I probably will depending on how the gameplay is for RCTW. I know there is a lot of games where the "next up in the series" was worse than the previous one so it just depends on how the game balances out, ya know?

CreamyBeef
12-13-2014, 06:46 PM
Yeah, I understand. TBH though, I think this game will be good. I can kind of feel it if you know what I mean

But we will just have to see!

The park I've been working on for the past few years. Its projected opening date is around the release date of RCTW: 2017.

It is, just the discussion was whether they will be building it in RCTW :)

That's a great park but ''2017'' is that a joke or mistake :P

FlyingDutchman7

Neither. The park is so gigantic, and I try to be as precise as possible, creating hundreds of CS objects for this park. I also don't have a lot of time, so... yeah. It began in january 2011 and I'm currently a bit past halfway :).

This is my third, and so far most successful attempt at a park I've been working on with a friend.
We've been processing ideas for close to 2 years now, many of the ideas have been sprouted by myself, with my friend going off to draw them, and then coming back with alternate ideas. I've had help from creators such as FFRCT & Silvarret, however after a spree of crashes on past versions I'm trying again, seeping inspiration from my friends art and developing it into something else.
http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n108/CGM5/2c35f411-1b0b-422d-8b6f-7698315037ff_zpsc775581e.jpg

http://i1050.photobucket.com/albums/s413/toofpikk/Kingdragooooooooon_zps4d096e65.jpg

I unfortunately captured and uploaded very little of the park before my first computer crash, however there is the odd bit here and there:
http://i.gyazo.com/a62810e61100dede04dff1738b458403.png

http://i.gyazo.com/61461809ef716e868680fe7a8f15b13e.png

(to only be allowed 4 pictures in a post is very silly)

Unfortunately because of the crash I drifted away from the main challenge the project created:
Making a 3d version of fantastic 2 d drawings. However all is not lost. I plan (as said above) on utilising my skills, as well as my friends, on making a new, fantastic park!

Is that based on a California Mission?

Yes it is!

To be precise, it's based on Mission San Luis Rey de Francia, in San Diego. I think it's one of the more beautiful and typical ones.
I hope you can see on which building this (http://i.imgur.com/gcKT6ZW.jpg) one is based.

Well I've been working on East Side for a while as well(over 4 years), though am currently sidelined by a weird virus thing.. I'm hoping to attract some new viewers by posting here and also hoping we get some proper boards over here to post stuff.

(This is also a very unintuitive forum with posting..)

WOW! I had no idea you could go to this level of detail in RCT3?! These are amazing.

I assume you guys are running mods? I am quite new getting back in to PC gaming but used to play RCT and RCT2 as a kid. Can anyone suggest a link to somewhere that can show me the basics?!

Hey Doug!

To get custom scenery you are going to need something like WinRar. Next, download the custom scenery you would like and then put it onto your desktop. Open it in WinRar and you should find a readme and the scenery. If you would like to read the readme then that's fine. It also tells you where to put it. Next step is open up this: C:/Program Files (x86) [or the other one, depends on your computer]/Atari/Rollercoaster Tycoon 3/Style/Themed/ and put the scenery files here! Then load up your game. If you've loaded it up when you put the scenery you'll have to restart the game. Custom scenery, when in-game, can be found in the following sections: Trees, Walls or Path Items. Hope it helps. Ask anytime if you need help with getting custom tracked rides (CTRs) or custom flat rides (CFRs) :)

Okay, and is WinRar something I have to download? Or , is that something that should already be on my laptop?
Thanks so much for the help I've always wanted to download stuff like that you have no idea how much it means

Download it, it's free so go ahead. (Don't worry if it says you have to buy it after 30 days, just close down the thing that tells you that and carry on)

This thread convinced me to try out custom scenery for the first time, so be gentle. So far this place is unnamed but I'm pretty proud of it!

(Sidenote if anyone knows where good invisible paths, entrances/exits, etc. can be found please share with me, I couldn't find them. Thanks!)
