Cool! I like the hill launch. That is pretty fast for a wood coaster!

Fast-est! in the US. That near-vertical banked turnabout (at the :38 second mark) in the video... Wow! Looks intense.

GG Dollywood, my favourite theme park in the U.S. closely followed by silver dollar city.

GG Dollywood, my favourite theme park in the U.S. closely followed by silver dollar city.

Both are owned by the same company; Herschend Entertainment! ;) They also own Wild Adventures in Valdosta GA and a few other smaller parks. Wild Adventures is somewhat like "Busch Gardens" sans the mega coasters. Not a bad little combined themepark, water park and zoo. It's like Dollywood's "little brother" in terms of thrills.

If they would just get a few more coasters and expand on the theming a bit Wild Adventures would be right up there with the best of them! In terms of rankings: Most US themepark review sites have both Dollywood and Silver Dollar City in the 10+11 spot for "Best theme parks in the US!" Herschend's doing something right!

I'll be in line to ride "Lighting Rod" in the near future! Looks awesome!

Gonna be one heck of a line.

That's why he has a season pass, so at least he's not wasting a perfectly good ticket :P For having such expensive tickets at Dollywood they sure have a nice season pass price of only $99. (not including waterpark, that one is $145)

Looks great. Hoping to ride it when I got to a number of parks in the US in 2017!
