If I was to be honest the fountain addition is not something I would be crying out to be added against something that I would say deserves probably more priority. However they are a nice addition to the game. Something that maybe I would consider that was added while everyone else in the office were on a cigarette break or during the fire alarm test. Its like the turn off you phone warning in the cinema before a movie. Like the condiments being presented on the table in a restaurant before getting your meal. It's like the false eye lashes on the stripper before she starts her routine. It's like no one expects the Spanish Inquisition in a Monty Python episode. To coin a phrase from Star Trek "It seems illogical Jim and beyond my capability as a Vulcan to comprehend."

That said it is nice to get an update once in a while despite my first thoughts are that it wouldn't have been my first choice as an update.

It is nice however to see something that is different coming into the game when it comes to PxP additions. Even though I think there are a few out there that are screaming for the crashes to be fixed with the PxP builder and the issues that need to be addressed within it.

It was exciting to see the fountains but I am not 100% sure the animations for the water are not a little jerky or if they stem from the ground. I have seen the one which is a straight line and didn't feel that it started from the ground more from the top and seemed a bit too busy rather than having distinctive jets coming from it's point of origin.

I like the changes to the rollercoaster builder where you can actually see clear images of the specialist pieces that can be added. That and the toggle money tool for sandbox mode.

Generally I like the new additions with the PxP water features.

However I do get the feeling the Dev Team has nodded off from the stuff that people really want and have been crying out for a long time.

To end on a positive it would be the colouring for the square on the PxP..... so much better being that transparent.

I will wait for the rest of my main course in hope it arrives promptly with those big changes and those big additions to the game that would mean so much to us if they were just delivered.

It is starting to sound like you are waking up a little.
As you say this is something that would be a nice little update if the core game itself was finished and in a polished state, but right now that is FAR from the case.
This combined with the slience, the fact that the previous updates in last months have been like this, lack of activity on their internal build, their past history it all seems to suggest to me that they have ramped down on the actual development of the game.
If they really still had a full team of developers working on it, then we should have seen alot more fixes and features being added.

I really just wish Atari would be honest with us just for once and tell us what is going on and if they are working on any of these unfinished features that was promised.

Yes the silence is something that I have raised many times but that as I understand it is down to Atari.
Would be nice to have a what is to come post that just puts everyone's expectations in place and keeps the focus on the game. The support would come back out for it. In theory.
