Hello Tycoons!

The wait is nearly over - our Piece-by-Piece builder will be released to the public early next week! The team has been pushing new test builds daily to get ready for the release, and we’re excited to get PxP in your hands. This will be our ALPHA release, and we’ll continue to improve and iterate on the system as time goes on, working with you, the community, to make Piece-by-Piece even more incredible. We can’t wait to see what crazy structures you guys come up with!

We’d also like to mention one extra exciting feature that we haven’t touched on yet: using our UGC system you’ll be able to create your very own PxP item “packs” and import them directly into our PxP builder. That means custom pieces and custom themes are at your fingertips – all shareable through our social hub! Between UGC and PxP, the creative possibilities are truly endless! We’ll share a step-by-step guide for making custom PxP themes next week.

And to get you all hyped for the release, we’re revealing our brand-new GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE Pre-Made PxP model! This gorgeous PxP structure gives you a taste of the things YOU’LL be capable of building with our PxP system – the combination of our Piece-by-Piece builder and User Generated Content system together gives you more opportunities found nowhere else on the planet!

Lastly, we’ll have a Developer Twitch Stream next week to showcase PxP and answer any questions you may have about the system. Visit us at facebook.com/rollercoastertycoon and @officialRCT (https://twitter.com/officialRCT) on twitter for where and when to find us!

See you next week!

- Team RCTW

How could the wire cables be made using PxP? It looks like the rest is PxP but seems like the cable couldn't.

Very nice! Looking forward to it. Thank you for the update and for the continued work you put into improving the game. Hopefully some of the performance issues that have kept me from playing it for the last month are fixed. Exciting!

Will it be possible to put a path over the bridge so peeps can walk across it?

Are those rocks stacked?

I hope so! It would be great if they made the rocks stackable! I don't think they are though. I think they just built a hill and covered it with rocks so it looks like its stacked, I am super excited for this next update though. It is going to be so great! I feel like I have been waiting forever for peice by piece haha. Man I love this game to much haha.

How many pieces does the bridge consist of?

The cables dont look like any in game content we currently have. We also dont know what pieces will be included but PxP extends beyond walls and roofs to decroations and accent pieces

It could be! But I feel it might be a bit difficult to chop them all up correctly. It will surely be interesting to find out. Either way it looks so exciting.

Maybe the PxP will bring the spline tools from the coasters to the decor? This would definitely be a one up from the competition, and would make the tools from the rides feel more unified.

I could imagine other tools besides splines creating the look, if the pieces are scalable than a curved piece of wire could be scaled up to create the bridge wires. The vertical pieces could be scaled along one axis only to create the different lengths to match up with the curved cable.

Just a couple of theories, can't wait to find out what the PxP will hold.

This also sounds / looks like making a full sized showbuilding for an indoor or dark ride would be a lot easier. Building roofs for RCT3 was SOO hard cause you had to know the exact height to place a tile, and this may be easy to extend a roof above something. We'll see.

Spline tools for scenery? Scalability?

We can't even raise rocks off the ground to make up for the inability to make tunnels!
