Hello RCTW Fans,

i started with build some 3D Stuff what isn't in RCTW. There is a lot of potential, what we can build with 3D and Unity. I will add animations, lights, different textures, maybe will change the main values for the objects. I started the thread, because i don't want to open a new thread with every object.

Comments are welcome!

I reuploaded my modern glass theme set today and made some changes. Now it's in the workshop!

The big glass fronts let the sun trough, so that your peeps stay happy. Thanks to the grid feature, all of the assets can easily be build inside the game. Just push the button G and start arranging.

A passage! I thought about a module concept with different objects for a easy peasy ingame experience.

Sorry, nothing is copied. Every part is builded with Cinema. And you think you own the idea with a tunnel? Sorry but no, there is a huge difference between us. You can See it :)

lol I didn't say you didn't make the parts yourself, just said you copied my theme. Still good job keep it up.

I will say I love the plants Nvizzio could take some lessons from you.

Can i give you a hint.
If you move the camera in unity you can make it so that the UGC is shown better it the picture on steam.
the UGC creator plugin will take a screenshot from the view of the camera. -> move the camera = move the picture frame.
if you do this you'll get better pictures, people will see what it actualy is and you'll get more downloads

Currently the don't use the chairs. There is no feature right now for this. I will Update it, if it's possible. I also will update a version with more interiors, like ash trays and stairs down.

Thanks for all of your comments guys. I thought about a 18+ theme or an amsterdam theme. Because this is a rebuild from an original shop.

Maybe you could help me with the desicion, what i should choose as a goal.

Yes, absolutely great work !

I also got the idea, there are a lot of people doing stuff right now, but in my opinion it does make more sense to share it as Piece-By-Piece. So we could use single items from this one in general.

With this, everyone could use the outside (as "assembly") and build its own interieur, like in "The Sims".
Making the outside (the building) as PBP would also be great, but that means much more work.

On this way we get a very hughe amount of Pieces we can combine ...

Yea I love that brick wall texture and color. I mean you could make all kinds of buildings with those walls alone..

That's true. The modern modules are a piece by piece set and i work on the collision and Grid features to improve the building experience.

But i think as an 3D Artist it makes no sense to publish online the interior. Because this is my work. This is what i want to offer. By the way this is a rebuild from the Dutch Flowers in Amsterdam. And so i would recommend that everybody has the original rebuild from the Coffeeshop and not a mixed theme Shop from a couple of artists. Also the lights and the animations are perfectly set together with the exterior and interior. This is not possible with a piece by piece set.

When the things are Perfect for a PbP set, i will publish it with this feature.

Hello RCTW Community,

i worked on a modern windmill for the creator of green parks. It has a Entry and a Exit on the roof like a normal windmill. It is arranged with a light over the door, so that we can see a ladder, that goes upstairs (the tower is not filled with a motor). The engine is animated and turns slowly to produce electricity.

Modern Windmill

Description:For all of the modern park creators and green electricity lovers this is for you! It's a huge windmill, but still in real size. Yeah it's bigger than the big tree from RCTW. The windmill is full animated, and the wind seems to get the turbine in motion. The bottom area has a entry for mechanics. For a safe entrance i placed some lights in the tower.

I used it beside a rollercoaster and it has a really cool effect when you drive by in the first person camera.
If you like the modern windmill please feel free to subscribe and follow.

Here is the new one with this updates:

- Better proportions (the peeps "could" sit on the chairs)
- Better lights (Set two new lights at the door and changed the colour of the interior light)

I will publish them again, after a small amount of rework. Currently i struggled arround with a limitation of the objects and that the UGC's ingame disspears. It is very buggy atm and as long RCTW won't fix those major problems, i'm not feeling like doing this hard work so intensively anymore.

Oktoberfest 18+

My new project was a wish "or something like that" from deathtome. He wrote me, if i could make a beergarden. But beergarden is out! Oktoberfest is in! Actually we have a kind of "Oktoberfest" in Germany. It's called "Frühlingsfest" - "Spring party". Now i'm working on a german party tent out of wood and a lot of place to sit down and make party. The interior is not ready and need a little bit time. Enjoy the first images and some behinde the scene blueprints :)

Actual Polycount: 85.000 Polygons

Future Updates:

- German Party Music (all of the party tents play these kind of music - of course with a common free license!)
- I hope RCTW will let us set different values for shops, deco objects or attractions. Then it would get a shop with some high puke stats O_o

First render:

Detail View:

http://abload.de/img/oktoberfest-4fsspk.jpg (http://abload.de/image.php?img=oktoberfest-4fsspk.jpg)

There are some render failures on the mug and on the basket. Sorry for that!

Very nice model for a beer garden/shop. tho that poly count feels way to high.

Thank you deathtome. For the big size and the amount of details of the tent, i think the polycount is suitable. I know a lot of things about low poly design, and there is nothing more to reduce. Maybe i will release a tent without without the interior. So everybody can decide which version is the best.

A polycount for a flower with 30.000 is not okay :)

DoctorPelusa
05-01-2016, 06:56 PM
Yep, that polycount imo is too big without LODs, I'd suggest reducing it a bit even if it means less details...

deathtome

I'm not a professional modeler that was just my own personal opinion based around what devs recommend as far as max polygon count in one of their live streams.

Yep, that polycount imo is too big without LODs, I'd suggest reducing it a bit even if it means less details...

You mean without a Level of Detail the polygon count is to big? Do you mean without the interior, or what? Because i set the LoD :)

But ... i played with the amount of detail and i get a polygon count of 30.000 for everything you can see in the next two images :)!

And this is how it looks:

http://abload.de/img/oktoberfest-8zbkou.jpg (http://abload.de/image.php?img=oktoberfest-8zbkou.jpg)

And this is the new interior:

http://abload.de/img/oktoberfest-7clkvo.jpg (http://abload.de/image.php?img=oktoberfest-7clkvo.jpg)

What i did:

- I deleted the 3D Font and changed it into a texture.
- I deleted the curtains. (Idk if i should make just a one layer with no depth and add a texture in the look of an curtain)
- I gave the plants less leaves and a huge polygon reduced ball as a ground shape, like RCTW did this with their hedges.
- I worked on the beer mug and deleted one.
- No chicken on the roof. -> i think i will work on it to reimplement it again.
- For this reduce i added a 3D Based roof, not just a texture.

The details ´

I'm not a professional modeler that was just my own personal opinion based around what devs recommend as far as max polygon count in one of their live streams.

And how much was the biggest polycount they used?

Thank you for the response! It helped a lot. I hope You will download it, if it's ready!

You mean without a Level of Detail the polygon count is to big? Do you mean without the interior, or what? Because i set the LoD :)

The base game uses different models for the same asset that change based on the zoom level, so that if you zoom in you see a model with high level of detail, but as you zoom out, and the game needs to render more assets, it loads an alternative model of the same object with less polygons. As far as I know you can't do that in UGC atm?

I think you could reduce some more polys if you made the beer pints purely cylindrical, and used a texture for the walls instead of modelling them... But now the poly count is more reasonable...

I didn't know what LoD is before. Now i know what you mean. Uhmm, no this is no supportet feature right now. When it's ready i will do it. By the way there are a lot of features which are not included at the moment. I would like to set prices, add this to the shop category, let the peeps puke and set their animations. Build & animate some standard peeps, which are working in the tent. That this becomes more than just a standart deco object.

The walls are not that polygon problem. If i delete the edges, i would save 4 polygons each wood piece. This is no big saving. If i would make just one wall and add a texture in the look of the wood pieces, it would not look that sweet and i would deletejust 4000 polygons.

I'm working as a designer, it is my job, to make things beautiful. And a level of detail should be in every single UGC :).

LEGO.WORLD

___________

Everbody loves lego bricks! And this is just the beginning of the lego world project. With the lego bricks you can be creative. With the piece by piece feature and the ingame grid, you can set your bricks by bricks and easily build up the things you want. I made five different shapes (1x1, 1x2, 1x4, 2x2 and 2x4) and added six colors (black, white, red, green, blue and yellow). And this is just a small amount of what i will publish in the LEGO section. Go and download the lego bricks and start building your own things with lego, like you did it in your childhood - or maybe right now.
